Abstract
The police are one of the law enforcement professions where the duties and functions are included in the category of state security And involved in the direct community environment, regarding the task of the police has been listed in Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Police. The role of the police as law enforcers to serve the community in undergoing obligations of citizenship that is obedient to legal norms in the community. However, sometimes the function and duties of this police are found violations of the professional code of ethics in which the elements suspected of violating the police caused public confidence in the image of the police to fall. Based on the description above, the formulation of this problem is what efforts can be formulated in an effort to improve the image of the police in the community related to traffic police in the Ogan Komering Ulu Timur and surrounding areas (case studies; unity, Ogan Komering East Ulu Police).
